The main bench — organized chaos, but every tool has hung in the same place since 2016.
Where the work happens
The atelier occupies the back half of a 1920s storefront on Sunset Boulevard: three benches, a rolling mill, a small casting kiln for wax work, and a stone-setting station under the good window. The front half is the showroom — one long case, a table, and enough chairs for a consultation that runs long.
It is a working studio first. If you visit, you'll hear the saw and smell the polish; you'll probably see your ring's future neighbors sitting in the pickle pot. We think that's the point.
Old tools, long practice
Half the tools at the benches are older than the business — estate-sale hammers, a bench anvil from a retired watchmaker in Pasadena, gravers that came with Mariana from her training. Hand tools leave a surface that machines don't: our hammered bands are actually hammered, one facet at a time.
What's modern is modern where it counts: laser welding for repairs that used to be impossible, and a microscope for setting stones under magnification.
Visiting
The showroom is open by appointment, Tuesday through Saturday, 11am to 6pm. Appointments are unhurried and free — try things on, see the one-of-a-kind case, talk through a commission. Book by phone at (323) 555-0184 or through the contact page.
Repairs & resizing
We service everything we've ever made, forever — resizing, re-tipping, chain repair, refinishing. Bring pieces by during any appointment, or mail them in after emailing us for a repair number. Most repairs are done within two weeks; simple resizes are often same-week.
